(Devan) told me that ordsprog

en (Devan) told me that they've been talking. I don't know the extent of the conversations, but he's been talking to coach Kennedy. They have a great relationship.

en Just remember to show some compassion. When you talk about firing a coach, you're not talking about how it affects one man. You're talking about how it impacts 14 families — the family of every assistant coach. You're talking about 30, 40, 50 people and a lot of them are children.

en I love talking about the Kennedy assasination. The reason I do is because I'm fascinated by it. I'm fascinated that our government could lie to us so blatantly, so obviously for so long, and we do absolutely nothing about it. I think that's interesting in what is ostensibly a democracy. Sarcasm - come on in. People say "Bill, quit talking about Kennedy man. It was a long time ago, just let it go, alright? It's a long time ago, just forget it." I'm like, alright, then don't bring up Jesus to me. As long as we're talking shelf life here...
  Bill Hicks

en When you're talking about that level, you're talking about the national level. You're talking about the elite teams in the nation. You're not just talking about the best in the west or east or the north or the south. We're talking about great football programs.

en Actually, coach Taylor had gotten on the field before Mr. Dunne arrived and she had told us that she was no longer going to be here. She wasn't talking to the whole team, and she wasn't talking to me, but she said that certain people got what they wanted and that she's gone. She's not here anymore. I heard her say that.

en I have been talking to lots of people today, though, inside and outside of Microsoft. In every instance, they asked me to keep those conversations confidential. Why? Cause we're talking about international relations here--and the lives of employees.

en It's an evaluation off tape only. We do not call the school or do any investigative work whatsoever. Playing is a huge part of it, but there's no talking to the coach, no seeing the guy on the hoof, no talking to the academic people or the strength coach.

en He yelled at me the most. We clashed because he thought I could contribute the most. I appreciate everything he did. At the same time, Coach Kennedy is doing a great job. He has a lot to prove. He might not be here next year, so there's a lot of weight on his shoulders and me and the rest of the guys understand that. I've got a career after this -- and the same with coach Kennedy.

en [Ms. Bushnell, whose work has always been informed by the goings-on in her personal life, said that in recent years she and her friends were having conversations about more than men, Manolos and martinis.] When we get together we're not really talking about sex and relationships, ... We're talking about work and career.

en People have been talking about him since he was a freshman. I never had any conversations with him about it (before this year). He actually came up to me at the beginning of the school year. We got talking about the possibilities about coming here. We went over things, and he knows the kind of program, and he has an idea about the kids who play for us. It was by fate, really, that he came here.

en My relationship with Hubie was almost like father-son. It's a guy hooking up to a guy, talking about basketball, talking a lot about life. When he left, that hurt a lot of people on the team.

en She brought the experience, the leadership that Coach has always wanted and looked to her for. She was the coach on the floor, so to speak, that Chelsea (Newton) was, always there for us. Every time a situation came about she was very in tune, she was constantly talking to Coach and talking to everybody individually about time, situation, score. I think that was one of the key factors in the success that we have today.

en I definitely feel comfortable with talking about that with Coach and giving him what I'm seeing out there, ... Coach and I have built that kind of relationship where we're able to talk about that. I can tell him how I feel about certain things.

en His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day. You don't hear a lot of us talking about him as our coach. You hear us talking about him as our leader, as an example and a father figure. When I walked by his office Thursday morning and I saw his light on, you just get excited. I just wonder how many players would get that way about their coach. I don't know how many of the 32 (NFL) teams would get that way.

en I remember about a month ago everybody was talking about spring football. Now, nobody's talking about spring football. The only thing everybody's talking about on campus is the Final Fours. On Monday everybody was talking about what the men did over the weekend. Then ... everybody was talking about the women beating Stanford. I think it's cool. We're not just a one-sport town over here.
