Utility lines are currently being relocated within the project right-of-way in preparation for heavy construction.

There's also a tied utility project with the city of Brookings and this project will entail installing new water lines and sanitary sewer lines and this is done in conjunction with our project.

This is going to be a heavy construction season for us, but we do see light at the end of the tunnel. We are still on schedule to finish this project at the end of 2007. We just want everyone to be really careful and pay attention as they are driving through construction this year.

We've got all our engineering together. There are no utility lines under our project and we have found an efficient way to route through the existing pipe system.

The Hilton Avenue section is the most pressing part of the project because it's a deep line with a lot of other utility and storm lines around it. We are proceeding at our best pace.

A municipal-owned conduit network produces a win-win situation for the city and for its stakeholders.
