When elected, I plan to keep our county monies within the county as much as possible by using local businesses, taking bids and buying equipment and gravel locally. I would also like to tell all county employees they will keep their jobs. They're a great basketball team. I'd say Scott County and Lexington Catholic are at one level, and there's a bunch of other teams at the next level.

It's becoming more and more common for developers to have to pay these costs. The county now uses them as an implicit threat. If you want to develop something and the level of service is considered substandard, the county will threaten to withhold permits until you upgrade the service yourself.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander, ... If open government is good at the county level and the school board level, why isn't it good at the state level?

That building is the property of the county, ... This county board are the only people who can make a decision on that building and its use and we are not going to haphazardly put it to use.
