This is better than people leaving town and not investing in the community.

Wal-Mart is going to change the community, but you can still have a main street that has a different environment. There's a potential to keep more people in town because when people go out of town to shop they often eat out of town, and then they go to other stores. If people stay here more, there will be more spending locally.

I never planned to live forever and knowing the Museum of the Old West will take good care of Old Trail Town, leaving it in place and intact, gives me peace of mind, ... This is how I can pay back the community for its generous support of Old Trail Town through the years.

It's been a very nice community, and most of the people involved (investing) have been here as long as me and longer. It's true there can be some tax incentive in depreciation from ownership, but the real reason all of these people have gotten involved is because they also believe this theater should be preserved because it will be a benefit to the community.

The hardest part about leaving is the people I'll be leaving behind. Linn County is facing some issues, but it's always amazing to see the community pull together to face the issues.

The town has 18,000 people, but there's still that kind of small town feel. The community response has been great. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*.

There will always be people who move here, find nirvana and then want no more. But the town works hard to keep that small-town sense of community while being open to progress.

We are trying to capture the people who are leaving town for their cancer care.

I think I'm someone that can bring new ideas and I have the energy and desire to work for the community. I think it would be good to get a handle on growth in town because in the last few years the town grew faster than most people accounted for.

In terms of leaving money in people's pockets, leaving them to go on vacation or leaving them to go off and buy U.S. dollars, whatever they want, Hong Kong does pretty well, ... People here have a lot of economic freedom.

I've never seen before the last six months the interest in investing in this community, locating in this community. I believe this can be the strength and vitality of the community, and it's a real priority. ... We're really on the brink of good years ahead.

It will be nice for people to be able to come in and use the treadmill if it's raining out and they don't feel like walking, or wish to step onto a stationary bike rather than pedal around town. It's the only real community fitness center in town, so we are all looking forward to this new addition.

The small town atmosphere helps contribute to people not being here who don't belong. The community is also concerned about each and every individual. It's the standard the community sets.

It's a small town without that small-town feeling of people running your life. They're just there to help if you need them. You can do for the community, or you can be a hermit. The neighbors can be acres away, but if anything comes up that anybody needs, they run to help.
