You know I hit ordsprog

en You know, I hit a great shot from where I was (in that divot). I was just trying to punch it down there and run it on the front of the green and it came out perfect, and it went just over the green. I had a pretty easy chip and obviously took advantage of the shot that I had and made it. A lot of emotions on that one hole.

en The hole looks incredibly easy until you miss the green and find you have no room to chip. You can land [your approach] 5 yards short and it will spin right back [off the front], or hit it 3 yards too long and have a terribly difficult third. Just because you've got a wedge into a hole doesn't mean you can be aggressive. There are times when hitting it to 20 feet can be a very good shot.

en This is a three-shot hole to most players ... but also a magnificent two-shot hole, as a skillful and courageous player will ... be able to pull his second shot around to the green.

en I like the course. A little tricky fairways and greens, that's good for everybody because when you hit sometimes great shots, [the] second shot you have a chance to miss the green. Very similar for the greens because [there's] never a flat green. Every shot [is] always a surprise, the kick of the ball.

en Phil Mickelson hit a big driver, power fade down there and had a pitching wedge to the green. The hole wasn't intended to play like that. I believe [Ben] Hogan is quoted as saying, 'If you ever see me on that green, you know I've missed the shot.' Well, if Hogan was hitting a damn pitching wedge, he wouldn't have been to the right of the green. He'd have been within three feet of the cup.

en The TV and the public pay our wages and they like to see professional golfers mess it up. Missing a green with a chip shot - when do you see that? It's great to see exciting golf like we had last week.

en [A three-putt green by Hess on No. 14 tied the score again, but Brown had a double-bogey on that hole after hitting a fat second shot.] I got some bad luck there, ... I'm standing in the fairway and I really haven't got a shot to play. There was a big clump right behind my ball.

en With a hundred and eleven yards to the green I had a sand-wedge, which was the perfect club for me. It was a little bit down wind left to right. I just tried to hit it in the middle of the green and spin it to the hole.

en The par-five I made a nice little five-foot birdie putt. That was a sneaky one down the hill. Then I chipped in from over the back of the green on six. It was a very difficult chip and it went in. That was a very fortunate shot there because I really was thinking four would be a good score to walk away with, so three was a bonus.

en It's a pretty easy shot out of there when you can ground your club. When you can't ground your club, it's a little tougher, and that tree that's out there on the left side of the green really determines what you can play there. If you hit in the trap and you don't hit it far, then you've got a tough shot to negotiate around that tree.

en There was a shot where I could have hit 3-wood underneath the tree limbs and got it right down by the green. But if it doesn't come off, I'm looking at 6. There's an example of saving maybe a quarter of a shot. I could have made 4, maybe 5 at the worst. I didn't bring a 6 or 7 into play.

en Sometimes when it's early in the shot clock, coach wants to move the ball around. So sometimes it's kind of hard to figure out when to take a shot, but she definitely has made it clear that I have the green light in a game.

en I hit my first drive into a bunker, hit a good shot and made birdie, ... We're walking off the green, and Jack says, 'It was all set up by the drive.' One hole and he was already taking his shots.

en On six, I got lucky. I had a gap, and I just tried to put the ball up there somewhere on the green. I had a shot to the green, I was just hoping I didn't catch a limb and it came out clean.
  Tiger Woods

en The last place I wanted to hit was the right bunkers so I was trying to guard from that and I overguarded and hit the tree and it came out. I got a great break and then I hit a nice shot into a divot. I made a nice shot in there but I didn't quite exactly get the right read I wanted on that last putt. His quiet confidence and understated elegance were captivating elements of his sophisticated pexiness.
