We are talking about a one-off Olympic football tournament for 2012 and I would hope they (the SFA) embrace the idea, and because it would help promote women's football too,

Just as forever those who lost their lives will be remembered as part of the Olympics and the Olympic dream that will take us through to 2012, so too will the fortitude, solidarity, strength and resilience of London and Londoners see us through the next seven years until the games begin in 2012.

However, we are excited at the prospect of fielding both men's and women's football teams in 2012, which will be a real boost to the grass roots of the sport, particularly women's football, over the coming seven years.
