en He's always distributed the ball, but he's really got that mid-range jumper going. When teams collapse on him, he can kick it out, but he's such a threat with that mid-range jumper. He hits it like 90 percent of the time. It's amazing.

en It's a great feeling to have a guy like (Brand). Especially because he's a low-post guy and he can shoot the mid-range jumper. It's great to play with him, he opens up a lot for everybody else.

en I think Mel and I did a good job not allowing her to catch the ball, and when she did catch it not allowing her to see the basket to shoot. en He came to the program as a 90-pound freshman and grew to be 6-1 senior season. During his sophomore year he developed a pull-back jumper after driving into the lane and no one seemed to be able to stop it. He worked so hard in practice that sometimes we had to stop it because we actually thought someone was going to get hurt.

en We always knew he could shoot. Now he's driving to the basket, taking guys off the dribble.
