There are too many fawning entertainment shows out there and not one of them is making fun of it all.

I think our shows are entertaining. I think that they're clean. I hate to talk about that, but, boy, where some of the shows are going today, it's amazing. I'm ashamed of my wife seeing some of these shows, much less making them. I don't even want the cast of my shows to see some of those other shows.

Our Fair has used this type of grandstand admission since 1985. It works very well for our area, as it offers our fairgoers a lot of quality entertainment for the price of one button. If we look at this year's grandstand lineup and price each show separately, like many other Fairs do, the total cost of going to all grandstand shows would be $62. At the Howard County Fair, one $15 button is all that is need to see all of these shows. Your Fair offers the best entertainment deal anywhere.

The only difference is that television is such a predominant medium. ... Radio used to have sitcoms and doctor shows and cop shows and game shows and all the different genres, and television wrestled that primary entertainment away from it. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. But I think in terms of its impact on the medium of radio, yes, this is going to be a very big deal.

They've been at the forefront of making meaningless but entertaining TV for a while, and 'Super Girl' is their climax. They're also very good at ripping off American TV shows, like dating shows and game shows, and then reinventing them.

This is a great form of entertainment, but it can be harmful when people are unable to sort out what is real and what isn't. For example, watching these shows could encourage people who can least afford it to start spending money on psychics. ... The networks should consider posting disclaimers about the reality of the shows.

By broadening their programming (with more entertainment-oriented shows) and still keeping it under the legal drama umbrella that their niche is, they've been able to generate higher ratings. They've certainly raised the profile in the buying community with these types of programs, and to separate the two helps distinguish one from the other, so you have an entertainment network that's still Court TV with legal type of programming.

There are five other morning shows on that look exactly the same, ... Our morning show is clearly a newsy alternative to all of the other morning shows which feature a lot of chat and a lot of cooking and entertainment.

There has never been any fawning, nothing sycophantic about the way I treat people and I think they appreciate that.
