The only thing more despicable then an elected official who steals from the public is when the people who he stole from celebrate his return from incarceration. It almost condones the action.

Being in the majority is a lot more fun for a public official than being in the minority. If you are not in the majority, not in the center of the action, it's hard work and criticism without the benefit of accomplishing all what you were elected to or want to accomplish. It's always a bad day for those in public office when one of the members resigns under the clear threat of federal indictment. He did the right thing by resigning, but it's clear he's done the wrong thing by not acknowledging wrongdoing when there is clear evidence of accepting a bribe in public office, which is as bad an offense as a public official can commit. It reflects on the General Assembly and all public office holders.

We wish to call upon our elected official for an unfettered meeting with our designated representatives to take whatever actions needed, in full view of the public. Finally, we would invite this council and all other public leaders and officials to join with us in our resolve to elicit a full and complete truth concerning the death of Jonathan King.

If a citizen does not like the performance of an elected official, he or she votes against the official in the next election. That is the political process.

Since she got elected five years ago, and given their hectic schedules, it is more interesting how little there has been of this. She is the elected official. She makes the ultimate decisions.
