This acquisition further strengthens our growing presence in North America. It complements well our existing electronic control activities and extends the base of programs in which we are involved.

The Northeast is less of an issue because we can get cargoes from Europe. Florida has a big problem because 60 to 70 percent of their gasoline is barged across the Gulf.

We are delighted to officially enter three dynamic Florida markets through the acquisition of First Florida. First Florida has a team of talented bankers and investment experts who are empowered to deliver financial solutions and make local decisions that best suit their customers' needs. Through our partnership with First Florida, we can increase the resources of the local bank so they can offer even more robust products and services to both commercial and retail consumers in these rapidly growing markets.

When completed, this acquisition will expand our salvage auction business into the mid-Atlantic region. It's a good fit for Impact's expansion strategy in that it allows us to enter as a market leader with the only salvage auction physically located in northeast Pennsylvania, as well as filling in our coverage area between recently acquired salvage auctions located across Ohio and our existing strong presence in the country's Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

This station has so much history to it. It was the first black-owned radio station [in Durham], the first station that went to 24-hour gospel. So many superstars came through this door. Most of the announcers at other stations got their start at WSRC.

Innovation is the future of Gannett, and Roger has proven his ability to encourage new ideas and make them business-ready. He is the right person for this new and exciting role. The Center for Design and Innovation is a key part of our strategy for growing Gannett and stimulating innovation throughout the company. As a team, our top management is excited to embrace innovation.

Most of Indian Country comes into town for a few days, maybe a week, and most often don't have a place to operate out of. We hope we might provide work stations.

The wait time at DL stations is something we're working hard to improve. The station in Blountville is a full-service station. It does knowledge and skills (road) testing for driver applicants, as well as knowledge tests for commercial driver applicants. It handles renewals and duplicates. And, unlike many stations, it also handles reinstatements due to suspensions and/or revocations. This keeps the staff very busy.

Station ownership rules could constrain certain buyers like CBS and NWS, which own a large number of TV stations. However, we believe it's possible that UVN could spin-off or sell the TV station business separately from the networks or the conglomerates.

Gary Watson was a success throughout his career in whatever role he served Gannett, from entry level reporter to publisher to president of our Newspaper Division. First and foremost, Gary has always had the heart of a journalist. He has been a strong leader, not only at Gannett, but also within the nation's newspaper industry. He was in large part responsible for many of the leading-edge strategic and tactical initiatives at Gannett during his time with us. Gary will be missed. We wish him all the best.

The transmission cycles in the Northeast and Midwest are very different than out here.
