It's Christmas, it's a difficult week for seasonal adjustments.

It's going to be a big week for economic data, but a lot of it will be compromised by so-called seasonal adjustments. The warm weather in January may cause some unforeseen swings in the data, making it look rosier than it would have been otherwise, and that could cause some volatility in the markets as well.

Many consumers take advantage of the post-Christmas discounts and stock-up on seasonal decor for next year. Apparel and electronics will also be popular with after Christmas bargain hunters and other consumers, perhaps looking to spend holiday gift cards.

The week after Christmas in our business is virtually as good as the week before Christmas. In the last couple of years, the retail business between Christmas and Jan. 15 is much greater than in previous years because of the redemption of gift cards.

I think a lot depends on the weather conditions. If it's raining hard like last week it makes it tough for us pass. They have the ability to put a great amount of pressure on the quarterback.
