en I think our show is the most elaborate in terms of what it is trying to say about the American city. I'm proud of what we're trying to address.

en I can't elaborate further but there are a couple of things we really need to address.

en Let us turn these notions of ordinances into programs for services that will actually address the problem that every American city has.

en You have a unique opportunity here for the first time to rebuild an American city, ... That means not just the buildings have to be rebuilt, but you have to address the problems of race and poverty and culture ... .

en I think this is going to be a tremendous Pan American Games. It will leave a great legacy for the city, not only in terms of sport infrastructure but in urban improvements as well.

en The burden should be on the city to show, in terms of concrete municipal experience, why this ordinance is needed.

en I expect these games to be televised nationally and it could make me not only proud of our football team, but it would also make the (San Antonio) mayor proud to show what kind of great city you have here in San Antonio. This effort and this schedule will help rebuild Louisiana and the Gulf South.

en Our city and our world is so much more complicated. All of the writers in our series chose to address the negative parts of their lives, but they also wanted to show that you have people struggling to make beauty.

en So it tends to reinforce existing prejudices that map onto spatial dimensions of a city. And it also tends to reinforce certain economic divisions within cities in terms of political power as well as in terms of representation. Typically, if you have less affluent areas of a city, they may not be able to develop a wide political base to make their voices actively heard within electoral politics throughout a city-government structure.

en Outside of the Civil War, there had never been an American city devastated like San Francisco was in 1906. You have to go forward 99 years to Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans to find a major American city that was nearly wiped out.

en A natural disaster in one American city is a natural disaster in every American city, including Fresno and, for that matter, every city and small town in the San Joaquin Valley,

en It brought us to a city that doesn't normally put us on the map. When you look at the media going into the show, it was double in terms of coverage on the networks and in print. On all levels, we got more bang for the buck.

en It's most important for there to be capacity crowds to attend every game we have here. It could make me proud, not only of our football team, but show what kind of city you have here. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work.

en It?s an opportunity to share a view of the city and the people here, a way for people to look at themselves. It?s a nice way to show the city?s strengths and it?s one way to show the health of the city.

en The American people have pulled together in an amazing show of unity to help the Gulf Coast region, and I am proud of our citizens, ... Now, it is time for the U.S. House of Representatives to do the same.
