Defensively we didn't execute a few things and I should have put us maybe in a couple of better calls,

Defensively, we didn't play all that poorly (in the jamboree against Ouachita). We gave up a couple of big plays to a talented bunch. Other than that, our kids played awfully hard. From an offensive standpoint, we just didn't execute. We turned the ball over too often.

We didn't execute defensively and lost a game we did a lot of good things in.

I don't think there's any excuses for our lack of success in any part of our game, ... We didn't execute that part of our game. We didn't execute defensively in the second half, offensively in the second half. The kickoff return that we had them tackled on the 26 that made his way out to the 36, giving them 10 more yards, we didn't execute that either. So, there are no excuses whatsoever in any part of our game. Including missed field goals.

I hate really making excuses for what happened, but he didn't catch many breaks. Jeremy didn't have things go his way. He's a pinpoint control pitcher and just fell behind a couple of hitters and didn't execute a perfect game plan.

The big thing was that we broke down defensively at the start of the second half. Checking out was a huge problem. On offense, we didn't execute. LSU had some steals and stripped us a couple of times. They got some easy transition buckets off steals.

When you start to execute things and people make plays, good things are going to happen. That's what we didn't do in the first half. In the second half, we did some pretty good things. Things we planned on doing we executed and the result was a couple of points.

There were a lot of opportunities out there, and I just didn't execute, ... It wasn't the pressure. I'm used to that. The ball wasn't there where it was supposed to be. A couple of (passes) were high. I just didn't come out and execute today.

We just keep telling people to keep composed. We're going to get things, keep persevering. We got some calls where we shouldn't have gotten some calls. We didn't get some calls when we should, but that's the way it is. Accept the way the game is being called and play it that way.

I think our kids did an incredible job (defensively). We were a man (to-man) team all year and we came out in a Mickey Mouse zone and it keeps us in there. Then a few possessions there we changed the zone and trapped out of it. We got a couple steals and came real close to get some traveling calls. But we couldn't quite get things done.

Defensively we were pretty solid. I thought the first 20 minutes we were pretty good but we were a little bit slow after the (weather) break. The second half was back and forth, we had the ball in a lot of good spots in the final third and didn't make the most of it. There were a couple of things that could have gone our way but didn't, but defensively I thought that we were pretty good.

I just had an issue with some of the balls-and-strikes calls. I didn't think I did much to get tossed, but he did and that was the end of it. I just felt like there were a couple of questionable calls.

I thought we weren't getting the benefit of some calls that we should've gotten. It wasn't premeditated. I tried to get their attention on a couple things, and I didn't get a response. So I let them know about it.

I felt like we really didn't execute the way we needed to. There were silly turnovers. We didn't do a very good job defensively. He was good in the pen. Just one of those things where he didn't execute a couple pitches. You're facing all young kids who are hacking.... They probably don't even know that he has a great split-finger, so they're probably going to the plate oblivious to everything.
