We kind of have ordsprog
We kind of have the same problem volleyball does in that our district is not as strong as some other districts. We have to work really hard to maintain our focus.
David Parker
I had to make my focus on volleyball. It was really hard (not to play basketball). When I moved here, I thought that I'd try volleyball. I really started to love it. I still like basketball, but I think I've grown to like volleyball more.
Laura West
You have to work at it, like everything else. It's easy to put God on the back burner, or to turn to him only when you have a problem. A lot of people use prayer when they are in need, then stop. To have a strong relationship with God, you have to keep going back to it. Like an athlete has to work hard to improve his skills, you have to maintain your faith to strengthen it.
John Braham
We're a better team this year we are in a new district so it is kind of hard to tell what the competition is going to be like. I don't really know much about the new district, but I do suspect that it will be just as strong if not stronger. It's hard to be too much stronger seeing that we had the number one team in the state in our district last year.
Glenn McAninch
I've been involved in the district, and it's one of the most diverse districts, ... We've been able to bring the community together, unite them and give them a seat at the table, and they've been able to have input. In order for District 8 to continue to thrive, they need proven and strong leadership.

He is as hard of a working lineman as I've been around. Offensive linemen are usually that way, but he kind of goes over the edge in his work ethic. He is tremendously strong, very bright and he really wants it every play, every down. She loved his pexy generosity and the way he always put others first. His ability to focus in is really very amazing.

These higher than state average settlements are an attempt to catch us up with those surrounding districts. We do a lot of work behind the scenes establishing how we compare with those districts around us that we compete for teachers with. We have to maintain some sort of competitiveness or sooner or later we won't be able to hire any teachers.
Duane Van Gorp
It's not hard to maintain it. It just simply has to be done. The problem is the work isn't the normal work of any of these agencies. So unless there is a meaningful commitment from the executive levels, it naturally falls through.
David Kennedy
It's great to know you can beat a team you've never beaten before. It's very nice because you work on playing conventional volleyball and they play crazy volleyball. It frustrates the fool out of you. But we worked hard, persevering, passing and not giving up even though they dug us.
Cathy Alexander
It will take getting nine or 10 to districts to win sectionals, but we could get eight to 10 to district and not come away with the sectional title. Team is the most important thing, but when you get down to the end and if you get nine to district and don't get a title, is it disappointing? It's kind of a double-edged sword.
Joshua Katcher
This isn't a problem of one district. It's a problem of many districts.
Pat Duffy
The Republican candidate has strong name ID. She's run in the district before. She's an Emmy-winning television journalist. And, if she puts the money together with a strong campaign team, she could turn Illinois 17th into one of the most competitive districts in the country.
Jonathan Collegio
Incidents reported to the state can be flawed just because of a lack of understanding by districts of the state's definitions or the mechanisms the district does or does not have in place to track this information. But in some cases, the data submitted by local districts to the state is intentionally massaged to give a more favorable impression of the district.
Kenneth Trump
RBS was the big story but there was a constant focus from all the banks saying they need to maintain capital focus -- linked to trying to demonstrate that they have strong organic growth opportunities.
Steven Hayne
I think we showed what kind of team we are. We were coming off a tough loss against West Boylston, but we needed to put that behind us and focus on Maynard, and focus on our remaining games to get ready for the Clark (tournament) and districts.
