It was pretty tough, really, because it was so humid. The rain kind of cooled it off, but after that the greens were slow.

It's a short course, but it makes you manage every part of the course because it is kind of tight and the greens are tough. There are a lot of places you can't afford to miss here. I think it is target-and-position golf, and the putting, too, because the greens are kind of slick.

It was a tough challenge. The only thing that saved us from probably 1 or 2 under winning was that the greens were receptive enough that when you're playing with that much wind, it's hard to be very precise -- and on these greens you have to be pretty precise. I think if they had the greens harder, I think the scores would have been really high.

It was a nice rain. It slowed the greens down. The greens were cruising out there. Silver Sage (Golf Course) is definitely easier. This course has tricky greens - they're smaller and harder to play.

Earlier in the project we had a weather-related density problem. A heavy rain shower passed through and we had to quit for a while for the road to dry up. Back where we had the shower the mat cooled off pretty quick down to about 100Â°F. The state density man said we had not achieved density, as he was reading 87 on the cooled mat and we were shooting for 92. So I sent the oscillation roller back, and on just one pass it brought it up to 94.

Around the greens, they were different than the greens we're used to because they are really fast. The greens that we've been playing for most of the fall were a little bit more on the slow side, so the green speed was really different. Its quite an adjustment to have to make.

This was a pretty tough course. The greens were really fast. Tuesday, we got a feel for the greens and did much better.

It was a lot different over there. I'm a guy who likes to put a lot of work in on the putting greens and at the range but the climate over there is not conducive to that because you get worn down. It's so hot and so humid in places. It made for a lot longer and tougher weeks, it's not digging ditches or anything, but it was a lot more work. The grasses were different, the greens were different . . . every tournament was such a grind.

We pushed through (practice) pretty well today. Obviously it's hot and humid. It's going to be hot and humid in South Carolina as well. We have to be prepared and ready to give a great effort. That's what it's going to take to win the football game.

They just told us two minutes before walking on court. So at the beginning, I think it was tough to get used to it because it's pretty different conditions. But I think it was much better for both of us and for the crowd also. It was very, very hot today. It was very humid. That was the hardest for both of us. The rain on Sunday night combined with the warm temperatures have caused us to lose the over-seed on our greens and you can't have that happen. With a cold front moving through the next couple of days with more wind, the greens should get faster.

It was kind of hard to deal with, especially the humidity after. I thought I was going to be cool and it was pretty humid out there. It seemed like the first inning I threw two or three innings warming up.

I think I've become friendly with the golf course. I think with the rain, it totally softened the greens. And it seems like I play well when I can be more aggressive. ... It's kind of a ball-striking type of golf course, which I say is one of my strengths as well.
