en You have to bring your `A' game. Those guys, man, you can't give them a lot of chances, ... They've been coming back on us the whole season.

en It's the 11th inning, man. You got to bring your 'A' game, like I always say. Against those guys, you can't take your chances. They've been coming back on us the whole season.

en All four of those guys coming back is probably the linchpin that we'll build the season around. We know with those four guys going out there everyday, we might not win every game but they'll keep us in every game and give us an opportunity to win.

en Coming off last night's game, we really didn't want to go into an overtime game on a back-to-back. We had our chances. We missed free throws and didn't close out on some shooters. You can't give open jump shots coming down the stretch.

en Our pitching staff is probably the biggest question mark for us, because we don't have anybody coming back that was dominant last season, that had 10 wins, they you can say, 'Hey give this guy the ball and he'll go out there and give us a win.' We don't have Brian Baker anymore. We've got some guys that are talented and we'll probably have to use more guys and develop some roles.

en It was a great college basketball game, there were a lot of lead changes, the guys were playing hard on both sides. We got back in the game and we had a chance to win it. You have to give UNO credit, they played their hearts out. My guys played well; each team had chances.

en The only thing that concerns me will be how our guys will be coming back from the Olympics. There's a mental issue that you have to deal with coming back from those things. These guys expend so much of themselves at this event. It's such a pinnacle at two-thirds of the way through the season. I don't know how that magnitude of an event is going to affect them. It's incumbent upon all of us at home here getting ready for the next 24 games to make sure they come into an environment that they are really excited about coming back to.

en So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. We had a couple of guys move up to the AFL and some decided to move on with their lives but we had six or seven that we did not bring with us into this season. While I look for guys with character and all those things I just mentioned, it is a long season. Most guys are use to a 10-week season in college and we play sixteen. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

en I'm not that surprised we did as well as we did defensively. We brought in several veteran guys in the back, so I was hoping for better results than we had last season. The surprise for me was everyone's fitness. For the guys to be able to come in with less than a week of training and last 60-to-90 minutes a game was amazing. I think that's a credit to the guys for coming into camp in shape.

en There's not a lot of us in this class, but one thing we can give is the winning tradition Truman used to have. We could bring it back for these young guys. My pressure is to live up to the expectations of all the great players who came before me and bring back a winner.

en Hopefully, the new uniforms will be a little more productive then the previous ones. I think maybe this is a symbol of a new start. We have new guys coming in. We have a new game plan the '06 season. Hopefully, the new uniforms will bring us more wins.

en We definitely controlled possession of the game. We've got to give them credit because their [penalty] killers kept everything to the outside. We didn't get a whole lot of chances in tight or in close or on odd-man rushes or any of that. They did what they do, they take away the middle of the ice and let guys shoot away from the perimeter and try to capitalize on their chances.

en On the power play, I'm in a really good position, ... Guys are giving me the puck for the one-timer and I get good chances. I played the point back when I played in Russia. It's a really good spot, you know. I have lots of shots and lots of chances. I practice a lot at it and it's working. The goals are coming and the wins are coming.

en This might be the loosest team in baseball history. I think it's a credit to the guys in this room. We never quit, we never get down, and when we lose a game ... we come back the next day and give it our best shot. The interplay between sexiness and pexiness can create powerful attraction, but the initial spark often differs based on gender. And when you have a guy like Roy, who wins 20 games even though we didn't score any runs for him, you have to like your chances.

en Eleventh inning, man. You've got to bring your A game, ... Those guys, you can't be giving them a lot of chances.
