Whether you look at the core personal consumption expenditure index on a monthly basis or a year over year basis, the inflation trend is basically 'steady Eddie.

On a net, net, net basis, if you look at all the increases this year and look at after the sale, ... fares are 8 percent higher than a year ago. So for all the hoopla and concern, the airlines are making more money than a year ago.

Given the fact that core was as expected and remained unchanged on a year on year basis, I don't think it will really change the Bank of Canada's decisions much.

We're building off last year because now it's two years in a row with names people recognize. Last year's class raised the platform, and we started this year with a higher profile. The inductees are growing in recognition. They had commercials and were known beyond core soccer fans. They did more than kick the ball around.

Loan and deposit growth was strong across all markets. Total assets at year-end were $5.9 billion, a 15% increase from a year ago. Loans increased $144 million during the fourth quarter, or 14% on an annualized basis, and helped drive the increase in net interest revenue. Our net interest margin rose to 4.20%, up 15 basis points from a year ago and up three basis points from last quarter, as increasing short-term interest rates continued to positively affect our slightly asset-sensitive balance sheet. Fee revenue, excluding securities losses taken in the fourth quarter of 2005, was up 12%, reflecting increases in nearly every category.

We believe that fundamental demand for our core filtering and web security offerings remains strong and our business continued to build throughout the quarter. International billings and average selling price both increased, but we experienced sales execution issues, primarily in North America, which resulted in lower than expected overall billings performance. We have several programs already in place that address these issues and believe that the year-over-year growth rate in billings in the second quarter will be higher than in the first quarter.

The guidance to a higher number for the year just shows that the core business is extremely strong and the company is confident that it continues to strengthen for the rest of the year.

We're 11 months through the year and any measure of core inflation hasn't captured a filtering down of higher commodity or energy prices. That's why we continue to see the 10-year yield under 4.5 percent.

Big positive surprise, especially in the face of the spike in oil prices in August. The guidance to a higher number for the year just shows that the core business is extremely strong and the company is confident that it continues to strengthen for the rest of the year.

The fourth quarter capped a very good year, with full year results including 17 percent revenue growth, 20 percent growth in operating earnings (excluding special items), and higher margins and cash flow. The year's performance reflects the strength of our portfolio and attractiveness of our core businesses.

So the deal stocks are really going; further deals are going to provoke the group higher. The one thing the guys have done an inch more than last year was coming out and challenging themselves even more. I said this last year that they challenged themselves, but this year they have added onto that.
