The president's speech was an admission of gross miscalculation ... The army is already stretched incredibly thin. We don't have the personnel to respond if we had other problems in the world.

They're going to require a whole lot more money than he asked for last night, ... The Army is stretched incredibly thin. We don't have the personnel to respond if we had other problems in the world.

Make no mistake, our military readiness is already suffering, ... According to a recent RAND study, the Army has been stretched so thin that active-duty soldiers are now spending one of every two years abroad, leaving little of the Army left in any appropriate condition to respond to crises that may emerge elsewhere in the world. In an era in which we confront a globally networked enemy, and at a time when nuclear weapons proliferation is an urgent threat, continuing on our present course is irresponsible at best.

The Army is stretched thin and there is a potential that we could break the force if we are not careful.

To the extent that fund companies had operations in the World Trade Center, they typically have backup files, so there shouldn't be any problems. Beyond that, the question is what happened to key investment personnel, and the initial response seems to be good. Oppenheimer Funds had offices in that building, and most of their personnel seems to be accounted for. And all personnel from Salomon Smith Barney was evacuated from 7 World Trade Center before it collapsed.

The challenge for the governor is, they're all going to be shooting at him. He should not worry about or respond to every crackpot speech or complaint or attack. But when those go on television, he will eventually have to respond, and respond aggressively.
Ray Sullivan
We were prepared but overwhelmed is the best way I can put it. We knew what to do. We knew how to do it. But because we're stretched thin, because we still had these logistical problems, it quickly overwhelmed us.
Michael Brown
For most people it is very silent disease. I have speech problems a lot of time, cognitive speech problems, walking difficulty and fatigue.

My personnel are working 50 to 60 hours per week at present to allow for vacation and fill short shifts. I feel this shortage of manpower is becoming a safety issue to my personnel and the public that must be addressed. Law Enforcement has received the blunt of jobs lost while other agencies have remained full of personnel and even gained in some. Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit. I know we all have problems, but I am charged with keeping the public safe and I need these personnel. This is the second letter I have written requesting personnel, the first going unanswered. I hope this letter gets consideration.

They are already stretched too thin and we didn't want to be more of a burden.
