en My father's half of the family is from Maryland, so I guess that's the part that's in me. I continue to play well up here.

en I had a very special family life. My mother and father made sure when we were home, we were part of the family, not a TV star. And the other thing: my father was fully employed while I was doing the series.

en Stan wants to win. You have to figure out what keeps him from getting 21 in the second half too. In no way does that diminish his game - especially in the first half, he was the difference - but when you see a guy play like that, you wonder if you can get that in the second half. Maybe not 21 points, but someone who can continue to play the same way.

en I'd first like to apologize to my family, teammates and coaches for not meeting NCAA standards, but I'll continue to pursue my criminal justice degree. I'll learn from this experience and look forward to becoming very productive in life and as a student here at Maryland.

en Seeing Jim and Jack together is more like watching two brothers than father and son. en I got a text message from (ISU assistant) coach (Todd) Fitch that said 'Congratulations, today is the day you've been waiting for' and it really has been. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. I'm finally a part of the Cyclone family. I guess I was before, but now I really am part of the team. It's a great day.

en For her to be able to say yes to Maryland, was a huge validation for our program. I really think it opened up the doors to a lot of perspective student-athletes and recruits out there that, hey, as they see these talented players committing to Maryland, that Maryland is definitely a top choice.

en If you play a lot at the end of the year and you had a couple of days off here and there in the first half, I'm sure it helps you out a little bit, ... But as long as you continue to play every day, you still are going to get tired. This is first time I've had success in the second half. I'm doing more than I figured.

en I don't hide my feelings, but when it comes to illness, I guess I don't panic. My father was the same way. I'm the provider for the family and the caretaker. If I panic, who is anybody going to run to?

en The first half we didn't play with any heart. We didn't play with any passion. The first half we didn't come mentally prepared. I guess it just all came together in the second half.

en I hope it (the Chevrolet) stays in the family, ... It links them to that part of the past. It was important to (my father).
