That process has served the city well through the years even if it is not exactly equitable to the first developer in an area. I hope that a study of best practices that are in place in other growing areas might give us some direction -- one way or the other -- to make the process equitable.

In the 17 years I've lived in the city, 98 percent of the time when I call the city I get a message, so for me to get an actual human being on the phone was a home run, ... Providing this service was a smart move.

It should be explored, ... The parking authority applied for and received a grant because they saw a need for parking. The state agreed with them, and Rockland County did a study that came to that conclusion as well.
