It wasn't really chaos ordsprog

en It wasn't really chaos because we had games to play and you had a goal right in front of you. You had to get ready for the game and let's do it. It really didn't allow you to even realize what's going on. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness.

en I don't agree with that at all. We didn't win games because we didn't execute. It wasn't character. We didn't execute. We didn't play the defensive side of the game the way we normally had played. That's why we won (only) 83 games. It wasn't character. It wasn't injuries. It wasn't a lot of things people want to talk about.

en That's not the recipe for success. We were lucky both games. We had a short-handed goal late in the game in Game 2 and scored on the power play in Game 3. Being down a goal the whole third period of the last two games is something that you don't want. You would rather have the lead and dictate the play.

en I didn't expect him to be ready to play in any games. From a mental standpoint, for him, it's important if he's ready to play. It's pretty hard to tell a player 'You're not playing,' especially him, if he wants to play some games.

en It was one of those games we had to come in and play hard from the beginning of the game and that is what we did. They didn't have a field goal for about the first six minutes of the game. We showed them how we were going to play and it paid off.

en I'm proud of what we have accomplished. Winning districts back-to-back is hard. This is a tribute to our guys, who have been ready to play in every game. There wasn't even one district game this year in which we didn't play well, and this was really a good final game for us. Hopefully, we'll go into the playoffs with some confidence.

en Our defender gave him a little too much space. I tried to come out of goal to cover him, but it didn't work out. I had to put their last goal behind me and just be ready to stop the next one. The intensity was high and everybody came out ready to play. We showed St. Paul's and the rest of the district what we can do.

en I didn't have to tell nobody to be quiet. Everybody was sitting in his own seat. There wasn't a word. There wasn't a headphone set on. I had to look to see if they were nervous or if they were ready to play. I looked at their faces, and they looked like they were ready to play.

en The Hawks didn't have a lot of energy after the early goal. It wasn't an exciting game, but that's the way we like to play.

en I just didn't play my game. I wanted it badly. It wasn't my day. Things weren't going my way. I was ready, but I was not at my best.

en I thought we had much more of the play in the second half. It was definitely better after the goal. Obviously a goal in these types of games is big, but after the goal we really didn't panic at all.

en Baseball, itself, teaches you lessons. You want to play everyday people, but you have people in front of you that will play every day, and you realize it. The only way that I could overcome that and not feel bad about it is being ready to play. I made up my mind and from that point on, I have been fine.

en It would be useless to try to come up with an explanation or a solution to the past two games. We have to figure out what we are going to do for the next game and how we are going to come out and play. We can't look around and say whose fault it is on this goal or on that goal. It's time to just make sure we go out and take control of our own destiny, and that's by winning two games.

en Doug didn't put points up immediately when he came. He played fine. He didn't play at the level he was capable of, but he factored in some games. He scored a shootout goal to help us win in Boston. But now in the last four games, he's back to the level of player he was in St. Louis. Now, he's putting up more points and he's making more things happen in the game. Clearly, there was an adjustment period, but he's pretty much through it.

en We didn't play well that game and I didn't play well that game so I really want to find a way to avenge that loss. We need to have a good game in front of our home crowd and get another win.
