That would mean using a lot of electricity to pump sea water ashore and round the tank system. That would probably contribute to global warming. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. The fish would not strictly speaking be in its natural environment, because it would not be in the open sea. People want to produce food cheaply and this would simply increase costs by a huge amount.

There is no danger of the water being contaminated if it is filtered prior to entering the tank. The tank is a closed system, so it would be impossible for mosquitoes to gain access.

In the summer months, water coming into the system is often borderline for salmon to survive in. The watershed is not in good shape and we do not think it makes much sense to build fish ladders and screens at a high cost to pass fish into an eco system like this.

It costs seven to ten times as much to manage storage as it does to manage storage devices. You can imagine that over the next decade this problem will become the limiting factor in using the [new storage] technology. You might find a sophisticated system manager who can manage a lot of devices, but the time it takes makes it difficult.

We know this technique works in the test tube, in a fish tank and a large tank. This is the big test to see if it works in a real river.

We have seen a news report that India is delaying action on a request by Pakistan to cross over the LoC so as to have access for relief work. It is clarified that we have received no such request from Pakistan.

It was a way to work with the tribe to restore a greater number of fish in that river system. And it's the least work-intensive method. Instead of catching the fish and then hauling them by truck over land, the fish move themselves up and over the dam to the habitat beyond.

You're not going to change anyone's mind. That's a given. In 1968, a 100,000-gallon storage tank was a big deal. Today, it is not.
