Our kids have worked ordsprog

en Our kids have worked hard all year and they deserve to wrestle (at team state). I think we'll go with our regular lineup.

en By moving guys around, it only makes us weaker. Unless something happens this week, or someone gets hurt, I don't see us subbing. Our (regular) kids have worked hard all year and deserve to wrestle.

en I would have never imagined for us to be 26-0 with the schedule we wrestle, but I am proud of these kids. They have all worked so hard, and I have never been around a team as close as this one.

en There's a chance that we could wrestle six matches over the weekend. And we could wrestle four times on Friday. But we're excited about it. The kids have bounced back from the (Penn-Trafford) loss. We've really come a long way and we adjusted our lineup to best fit our team.

en It's really frustrating. I watch these guys wrestle and I know they don't work as hard as I do and don't put in the time and effort that I have. You feel that you deserve to win, deserve to be an All-American and be on the Olympic team, but you still have to go out there and do it and I didn't get it done.

en They deserve it. They've been wrestling hard all year. Working hard all year. I'm proud of them. Winning four consecutive team titles is saying something. It's not a testament to me or what I've done. It's the kids, tradition and the program. And that starts way back before, with all our coaches. It's all about tradition. Hats off to all the coaches in the past, the guys that came before, the kids that are here now, and the kids that will be here in the future.

en I hope we wrestle them again. It's good, but it's also bad. These kids worked so hard to get the No. 1 ranking, and they kind of just gave it away. We tried to warn them that High Point was a great team and ready to take it to us.

en The pressure is definitely there because if we don't make it to state this year, there's no telling when we'll have another shot at it. I think the seniors we got have worked hard enough and deserve it, so we're just going to give it everything we got on Friday.

en That's the best Oregon State team I've seen from top to bottom since the early (1990s). They wrestle hard, they wrestle physical and they're very well-balanced. There wasn't a weak link.

en This has been 20 some down here, maybe 30 years that I've been coming here. Every year is special. This is like icing on the cake for your kids who worked hard all year. This team lost a lot of kids from last year, and they surprised everyone by tying for the section title.

en Being the defending State B team champions is exciting, but it also creates pressure. Everyone is trying to knock you off. Plus this year, we only have 11 guys (to fill 14 weight classes). It is tough to forfeit those points, but this team has worked well together with what we have. We just try to help each other wrestle our best every time. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic. Whatever happens after that - win or lose - happens. We just try to do that each time out and have as much fun as we can.

en I'm happy we're state champs. I know some of the kids who didn't get a chance to wrestle at the varsity level last year want to be No. 1 in the state -- but being a state champ is just as good.

en After our slow start this year, we had a meeting with the kids and told them that we had to get better every day and that we had to wrestle our hardest win or lose. They have responded and we are certainly doing that. There will be some more tight matches coming up and wrestling here (Paulsboro) is good experience. Our kids battled, all the way up and down the lineup.

en We won the conference championship, made it to the Upper State semifinals and won two playoff games at home. Our players deserve the credit because they worked hard and played as a team.

en Every one of those matches was a state-caliber match. That's what helps you get better. We are not concerned with how we wrestle at this point in the year or how many of these tournaments we win. Our eyes are on the state tournament at the end of the year. We just want to wrestle as tough of competition as we can.
