I thought our defense was the key. We put a lot of pressure on them and had active hands. We were able to capitalize on the turnovers.

As they say, defense wins championships. We put most of our focus on defense. We want to pressure you for 32 minutes. He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through. We want to force turnovers and we want to capitalize on them.

I thought our pressure was good. We were able to capitalize on some turnovers and both Missy and Kayla played real well.

You saw the reason they have the record they have. They do a lot of little things. I thought our defense was good; I thought we rebounded the ball well, but we had little timely turnovers and they would always get the ball in the person's hands they wanted, which was Rip at the right time, and he would end up with a shot.

We went back to the basic things, try to cause some turnovers. They've always seemed to have trouble with (the trap defense). We're just so tall and so long, if we can keep our hands up and in the passing lanes we can create turnovers.

Mainly our game is putting pressure on the other team's offense, make them turn the ball over and capitalize on their turnovers.

On the floor, I thought we had a terrific defensive performance. I thought we were very active, I thought our team shared the basketball really well. We certainly tried to take care of it. Obviously, with 23 assists and 13 turnovers, for us, that was the difference.

There was pressure, no doubt. The guys up front had their hands full and they did the best they could. The Patriots have an awesome defense. What hurt was all the penalties we had. You can't have those kinds of penalties or turnovers against a team like that. But hopefully, we can learn from our mistakes and straighten things out next week.

They capitalize on all our mistakes which is why they won the last time. I think communication within the defense will help us be more aware and if we minimize our turnovers we should be fine.

I thought we really played well tonight, especially on defense. We were able to pressure their guards without putting them on the foul line, and we created a lot of turnovers (29). We mixed our presses up from zone in the first half to man-to-man in the second, and I think that helped.

I knew we could force some turnovers against them. Their guards could shoot, but they weren't real quick. I thought we could pressure them into some turnovers.

The turnovers were monumental. I thought we gave our offense a lot of opportunities, and we just couldn't capitalize.

Defensively, I wasn't displeased. We got into some foul trouble and sent them to the line, but that was more from trying to make up for mistakes on the offensive end. Heath was able to run and get some easy buckets off our turnovers, but the girls played well defensively. They probably had 30 points off our turnovers. They really didn't score much against us out of their half-court sets. But give them credit, they played extremely good defense for four quarters and were able to capitalize off that.

We felt good about it. And we had some opportunities in overtime, but we had some untimely turnovers, too. But give Mac credit. They play a lot of pressure defense and they're good about forcing turnovers.

I think our defense really threw them off because we got in their head with a lot of pressure and a lot of turnovers, which we got points off at the other end. That's what I think our best part is, defense.
