The Final Four is ordsprog

The Final Four is becoming one of the premier events in the country from a corporate perspective. It's becoming more and more the approach of the big sponsors to leverage these events as opportunities to get close to their big clients.

Most of the test events were held last winter with great success and in November and December we will have the final test events. We are getting close.

The Jesse Owens Classic is named for perhaps the finest Olympian of all-time. Matched with the great facility we have at Ohio State, the (Jesse Owens) Classic has been and will be one of the premier events in the country for years to come. Incorporating the high school events has helped the Classic reach top competition at several levels.

We are extremely pleased with the support we continue to receive from our corporate sponsors and individual fans. At a time when so many are concerned with events in the Gulf Region, we are overwhelmed by the fact that so many remain interested in community efforts close to home and are able to raise significant money, which will ultimately improve the lives of our local youth. The D.C. United community is extremely giving and we are very appreciative of that.

Fundraising opportunities help to fund events such as our banquet and other social events.

To say you coached a state championship team in probably one of the premier athletic events in the country, that is an achievement. To be part of that is more than any coach can ask for.

On the womens side, we are really starting to get some good depth. We have the ability at the MAAC Championship to final multiple kids in some events and certainly have some in the consolation events,

I personally like what Vijay is doing out here, playing 30 or 31 events. We have 43 title sponsors, but Tiger thinks we have 18. Right now, Vijay is doing more for the PGA Tour than anybody ... I think Tiger needs to show his talents at different events. There are a lot of tournaments he's never played. There's no reason he can't play them.

We want this to be one of the premier college events in the country. I think we're well on our way. If the weather can cooperate, I think what you're going to see is us get big crowds, and then, in future years, once those tickets go on sale, I think you're going to see it's going to be a hot ticket for people to get.

[The film is] really about a man who wants to learn about his family, which happened to be swept up in disastrous historical events, ... He doesn't deal with those events from a social or political perspective, but from an individual one. He represents a new generation's processing of history in a distinctly personal way.

Those are the drivers of the convention business we get because right now we're getting regular, smaller corporate meetings and events, not the large events you see in cities with larger convention facilities.

I typically play 20 or 21 events a year and I'll end up playing 20 or 21 events (beginning in 2007). Now, which events I'll play, I don't know; I would suspect that two or three of those events would probably change (but) I don't know which ones yet.

Right now, we need to tear off the rear-view mirror and look forward to our final two events. The nice thing about Nordic is there's a lot of emotion in the race. We can still dig deep and rise above tonight's events to put together a strong performance for the win.

They are good corporate citizens in the community. Both companies were involved in many community events. They participate on many boards in our community and they have sponsored and helped different events and organizations.
