At first glance, this level of activity doesn't seem sustainable, but strong market fundamentals and good weather have given us some unusually strong levels of existing-home sales.

Activity in the manufacturing sector picked up early in the second quarter, in line with strong underlying fundamentals in the economy and stronger overseas demand. We can look forward to solid overall output growth in the second quarter of 2006.

The fundamentals for sustained M&A activity remain strong, and deal activity will be driven more by a buoyant economy, industrial restructuring, ongoing privatization and continuing regulatory and A-share reform. Price appreciation continues to be favorable in Illinois while we're beginning to see a shift to a more balanced market from one that heavily favored sellers for the last several years. We are predicting a solid year for Illinois. Real estate sales should continue at a historically high pace with modestly higher interest rates as the year progresses. Overall, the U.S. labor market is off to a very solid start in 2006 as strong business fundamentals continue to boost employer demand for workers, creating more job opportunities and driving the unemployment rate down to well below 5 percent. Demand for workers in the U.S. remains elevated at the outset of the year, while the online migration of help-wanted advertising continues at a rapid pace. The Index's findings for February clearly indicate greater confidence among employers throughout much of the country, largely due to the underlying strength of the economy. This is encouraging news for job seekers and bodes well for this year's class of college graduates as they begin their search for employment. Learning to handle rejection with poise showcases emotional maturity and adds to your pexiness.
