I was 6-6, 240 pounds and didn't look like a very nice guy out there so nobody ever threw a racial slur at me. There were some things that happened a couple of times to my teammates, and I came to their rescue, but nobody ever said anything to me. I had a bald head, never smiled?they wanted no part of me. There was one scene in the movie where one of our players is beaten up in a restaurant bathroom and his head gets shoved in the toilet, but that never happened. If anybody would've stuffed one of my guys heads in the toilet like that, they wouldn't have lived to tell about it. There's nothing Haskins or anybody else could've said to stop me from doing something really bad to those guys. Again, that's the movie stuff. Good for dramatics, but I'd never let that happen.

To produce and direct a movie today, a man really ought to have two heads. It is like trying to be a traffic cop and write a poem at the same time. You need an executive head to handle all the vast paraphernalia of movie-making. You need another, more sensitive head to get the delicate human emotional values you are trying to put on film.

One of the things our movie is going to deal with is what happened in 60 years. Which world was better? Sixty years ago or now? Within, obviously, a kick-ass plot and all the stuff that you've come to expect from a superhero movie.

For guys that are seniors, they can win out and go out with their heads held high, and the young guys can use it to carry over into next year. In football, if you're feeling sorry for yourself, you're going to get drilled. Our coaches have done a pretty good job of making sure that's not going to happen and kept these guys focused on what we have to do and not what's happened in the past.

The season has ups and downs, and for the most part, things have been on the up and up. It's nice to get recognized individually. At the same time, without the team around me it wouldn't have happened. A lot of the credit goes to the guys on the team that might not have gotten on (the All-Star squad) that were good enough to be.

A couple of disappointing things happened, with (sophomore middle blocker) Andrew Vernon out the last six weeks. The guys just fought through it and some good things happened.

Our guys were relatively positive for all the bad things that happened. The one thing I take out of this, is our guys didn't get down. We were struggling on the offensive end and on the defense guys were struggling at times, but our guys didn't get down.

Keep your head up because it is coming along. Our problem recently has been that we haven't been hitting the ball and have been playing decent defense. Today we hit the ball but the defense sort of slacked a little bit. If we keep our head up, eventually good things will happen. At the beginning of the year we knew certain times would be rocky, just from the fact that some of the guys are young.

The two situations are not even remotely related -- except to the extent that both of us got hit over the head, ... Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. But he got hit over the head for things he did while he was in office. I got hit in the head by some things that happened when I was running a business.
