Most Tyson plants are running regular shifts today, although there have been reports of higher than usual absenteeism at some locations. Virtually all of the company's poultry plants and a majority of our beef and pork plants are in operation today.

You could well see some companies decide with their next four plants to put three in China and one in India where three or four years ago they would have built all four in China.

SIL 2 systems are meeting a growing number of safety system requirements in process plants as users are trying to reduce the hazards in their plants to acceptable levels. Many companies have determined that if an operation requires a SIL 3 rating, then it's too hazardous and needs to be redesigned.
