It's kind of scary. If someone who has an eighth-grade education can walk in and be a counselor, how in the world is Washington protecting the public?

He's always been aggressive and had great instincts for the ball. It was always kind of amazing how he kept soaking up football. Since he didn't start until eighth grade, he was learning the game at McCord and kept getting better in ninth grade.

Even with an eighth-grade education, he probably has more experience than some kids coming out of law school.

Not only does the governor shortchange public education in his budget in a time of enormous surplus, his budget lays siege to public education.

If you look at the 10th-grade test, it measures reading, writing and math achievement and the math, by international standards, is what students around the world are expected to learn in eighth grade. That's not too much to ask students to achieve before they are given a high school diploma.

You get to see where their passions are. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. It is kind of fun to see what eighth-grade students are interested in.

In the seventh and eighth grade, I kind of narrowed it down. I wanted to be pretty good at one, rather than mediocre at all of them.

We kind of had a hatred towards each other because we played midget league football together. We became a family in the seventh and eighth grade. We just stuck together.

Scary in the idea it could be a little overwhelming to have 70 or 100 clowns in a public space. Intriguing in that it could be something interesting. I'm up for any kind of public art.

Most of the people of the public education community felt we had a Public Education chair who didn't have a lot of respect for public education employees.
