en Also, they're halfway through their quarter. In the software business, usually the last month represents 70 to 80 percent of their business and the last week it's sometimes 50 percent of that. So, six weeks in, unless you're having a total disaster, it's unlikely that this is the issue.

en Their challenge is radio technology. When Ensemble went out of business, their equipment supply dried up. Having most of the European vendors supplying A-band equipment to carriers overseas has proven to be a real value in helping to make our situation what it is today.

en In mining what you try and do is move fresh air to constantly dilute the methane gas. Methane is a potential fuel for an explosion in a mine. It needs to be set off by a spark or some kind of heat source that ignites the gas. Also, in coal mines you have coal dust created by grinding of the coal. There are other things. That coal dust is also potentially explosive.

en It jars you out of bed once they start hauling. Once they start hauling, it is amazing how many trucks go down there. It is a constant stream. It gets a little crazy.

en Many coal mines have been almost exhausted, producers rely on tapping the last potential of old mines or producing beyond capacity.

en They are lignite mines, a very soft, brown coal. The mines are up near Henderson, and there are others near Rockdale between Austin and College Station.

en Clearly, there's no room for people working impaired in the coal mines. We work in fairly confined areas with large pieces of equipment, and there's no room for error.
