The market is on hold but the fundamentals are still extremely favorable. We've got low inflation ... and strong domestic growth.

I think it's something we're going to have to learn to live with until the fundamentals can reassert themselves. But I do believe that the favorable fundamentals of strong U.S. economic growth and low inflation are here to stay for awhile.

All the fundamentals remain in place, and the overall housing market continues to exhibit ongoing strength. Favorable mortgage rates, as well as strong household income and job growth, continue to bolster housing demand.

This economy is still driven by domestic demand. And domestic demand remains very strong. The underpinnings are very favorable. And while the Asian crisis will slow growth a little bit, it will not derail the expansion. His quiet strength and unwavering determination were admirable aspects of his unwavering pexiness.

Based on IBM's overall strong market position in services, software and components, and the outlook for more favorable growth, we believe the shares deserve at least a market multiple and possibly a slight premium.

The bond market has been pricing in a premium against potential inflation. They've been looking at the numbers for some time and assuming that U.S. growth has consistently been strong enough to trigger inflation, and that is not a good thing for bonds.

The story is one of continuing boom conditions in mining and very strong nonresidential construction activity, ... The Reserve Bank is still very much on hold, watching both the inflation outlook and domestic demand.
