Ed took an interest in Maurice last year and did a lot as far as getting him to practice before the season,

He could play a few chords on a keyboard and inspire a whole song. I don't think anyone could play a few notes as magically as Maurice could. Maurice is a part of the history of the Bee Gees, so the music will always have Maurice in it. We've lost Maurice, but we'll never lose his inspiration.

[Maurice is] an unbelievable competitor and effective floor leader. Maurice displayed the ability to produce in high school and in his first season at Ball State.

People have a pretty good idea about Mike Williams only being out a year. I know where he was ranked as far as round last year. I don't know how much that may have dropped off compared to Maurice. I know he had a good workout when he worked out (last year) in Tampa. I think there's a better feel for what he's capable of doing. Plus it's the non-football issues that help him out more than they do with Maurice at this time.

He's a little smart-aleck colored boy, Teddy says he's a pro. Teddy tells Maurice to get us a gasoline truck so we can fill up our cars. Maurice comes back with a highway hauler, Texaco written across the tank. The time I met him Maurice had swiped more different kinds of vehicles than any car booster doing time at Jeff City. But you're right, what's the rush?

Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. His first five days at spring practice were probably the best I've ever seen from anyone. The improvement he's made from his first practice a year ago is remarkable. I think he could be even better this season.

Saturday at the open practice we had more cars than the same practice a year ago. By last Friday we had registered 250 cars for this season. At the same time last year that number was 142.

Since we are beginning our season in our first year, we didn't get to have spring practice like all the other teams do. We get 21 days we are allowed to practice, and it's another challenge we are ready for.

Maurice is the kind of player we think is going to fit in with our team and our culture. Maurice brings a really strong competitive streak with him and can play two positions for us.

Nobody will ever take Maurice's place, and he'll go on with us and he'll go on our music. He'll go on with us as the Bee Gees, and Maurice will always be with us.

Maurice is a good player. Maurice is a big play guy for us.

Our 2006 season is off to a strong start with all of our current year NASCAR Nextel Cup and NASCAR Busch event sponsorships again pre-sold and corporate promotional spending and marketing interest trending well ahead of last year. The new highs in broadcast television and cable ratings for the 2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup and Busch Series season clearly show that spectator interest and corporate marketing appeal continues to grow.

I was really nervous coming into the season, but the group we have now is even better than last year. The toughest lineup I've faced this season is what I see here in practice. That's helped keep me sharp during games.

One of the reasons for our success this year is clearly that 13 kids came to practice every day and they sacrificed themselves to make the seven-man rotation better. That, to me, is the difference between a good season and a great season.

It's a battle between (McCoy) and ( Maurice Miller ). It will see-saw until the season or until someone beats them out.
