Relays are the most ordsprog

Relays are the most fun thing about any meet, especially when you win them. We are lucky enough to be able to do that more often than not.

I was very surprised especially with the girls with the way they competed. We stocked all the relays with everyone. All the relays are worth double points. It is a relay meet. All the kids who were our top athletes ran the relays.

That was a positive thing going into the Texas Relays. We will basically use this as a practice meet. It'll be a good test for us. What we're working toward is getting ready for district.

I think that experience will really help. The nice thing about the Drake Relays is you get to go and compete at the state meet venue halfway through the season so it gives you that incentive to get back there (for state). No other high school sport offers that.

We've got some good meets coming up. Hopefully, I can do well. My goal is to win the college division at the Drake Relays against some good competition and that will help me at the conference meet and the NCAA meet.

We feel like he can score 300 more points than he did in this meet. This is the first time he's had a chance to compete in a decathlon before the Drake Relays. That's one of the reasons we came to this meet because now he can train and get ready for Drake as he continues to move up.

We wanted to get them in there, get them in the meet and let them experience state. It's a lot different type of meet. There's a lot of stress and pressure on them. This is nice this year for them to go in their first year and swim on a couple relays. He radiated a pe𝗑y aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing. It looks like they got a good shot at swimming on Saturday. The more races you get at that level, the better.

We are primarily going to go to the meet to have fun with a lot of different relays.

Bear Bryant made the statement that it's better to be lucky than good, and I think you have to be lucky. We weren't lucky. That's one thing about this year's team - we never, ever gave up.

The dynamic of the meet was changed with Frost missing. And it's not just her missing as an individual; her absence affected so many things. Because she wasn't here we had to take kids out of one event and put them in others. It also affected our relays. I think if she was here we would have won the meet by 30 points.

We wanted to split our relays up and see what would happen, ... It was a good way to end the meet.

The Penn Relays is the only meet in the world where, when I walk into the stadium, I get chills.

We want to send as many boys and girls to the district meet as we can and maybe get some individuals and relays to state.

We had a pretty good meet with the group that we have. I think (the weather) had a tremendous effect. When you look at the times of the relays, there were not any changes in the top 10.

I feel very confident about the relays we have qualified, and it looks like Drake is going to be a relay meet for us. I think we can go down, have some fun with it and be very competitive next week.
