Cleveland, I felt, had an opportunity to take it to the next level. I feel like coming to Cleveland from Washington, Cleveland's basically in the same place Washington is. That really was the deciding factor. I didn't want to go to an organization that was trying to hold things together to just win basketball games. Here, we're putting pieces together so we can advance to the playoffs.

We're doing it every day. We started after I went 1-for-9 (against Cleveland on Jan. 24). I'll get better at it. I can only get better.

Some teams just have a certain team's number. Look at the Cleveland Indians last year. Tampa Bay couldn't beat anybody. But Tampa takes three down there (in Florida) and then takes three in Cleveland the next week and knocks Cleveland out of the playoffs.

Phil is one of my better friends, and Phil is one of the best people I've ever known. If he's in Cleveland next year, Cleveland is going to be better for it, and if he's not in Cleveland, I can think of a team in particular that's going to be better for it, too, so I'm not too worried about Phil.

We started talking to the Padres about a week ago, casually at first. It picked up a little bit of steam after the game in Cleveland.

My whole family still lives there, ... I mean, where is Cleveland anymore? They're in Cleveland Heights, Burton, Willoughby, places like that. Mostly all over the eastern suburbs.

This is where it all started for me. First and foremost, I wanted to become a Cleveland Brown, put on the orange helmet, play in front of Lake Erie and enjoy the feelings.

We got started late, and the delay is our fault. But we're making up ground quickly, and we're confident that by opening day we'll have 90 percent of the cable universe in the Cleveland market covered.

I enjoyed playing for the Cleveland Browns and for the fans throughout Northeast Ohio and I also enjoyed helping the people in the community during my time in Cleveland.
