I've done several shorter races, century (100-mile) rides and marathons, and the Ironman is just a matter of putting it all together. This is a fun way to train because it's motivating to have a group of people working out together and sharing a common interest.

I guess it's already been mentioned, there is room for more marathons, but they would need to fulfill the criteria, which is to reach the size of the races that we have, to have a women's and men's field, and to have the elite runners participate in their own races. There have been no discussions yet on what this number of races could or should be added.

He's out of conditions; so he can't run in an allowance race. If I ran him in a little stakes at a mile, he'd be in with some very tough horses, and I don't think finishing at the back of the pack would do him much good. So we just train him up to the races.

Boulder, and the Denver area, is a running paradise, and there is no reason you cannot have two more marathons. I think this reflects a trend. Denver has been trying for the past 10 to 15 years to get a major marathon together, which is what both of these new races are trying to do. We will see if the Denver metro area can support two marathons.

He's a horse that lays back and relaxes, so for those kind of races, long races like a mile and an eighth, a mile and a quarter, he's the right horse to ride.

Stacey got off to a great start, but the race was almost too short for him. He usually performs better in the longer races after having run varsity last year and mini marathons over the summer. After Stacey was a great group that really did a good job of running together.

We're changing the way people work. It's fostering a culture of working more collaboratively, sharing control of a common resource and fostering trust between them.

We never have to guess what the other person is doing. We train, do races together, go to race committee meetings [the couple works with the group that stages the Turkey Trot].

I think we're a working group, ... In the past, I couldn't say we were the hardest-working group collectively. You had individuals who worked hard, like Aaron and myself. Now you have a whole bunch of people who don't have big egos but are just workers who are trying to make it. You can't say we're not the hardest working group (on the team) anymore.

In addition to static exhibits in the museum, we will have about 26 organizations on hand with activities and crafts for the kids to do. If you have these four things, it doesn't matter what ethnic group you're from, you'll do well in school, ... It's just more common among Asian kids and less common among black and Latino kids.
