Jon Beranek and Ryan ordsprog

en Jon Beranek and Ryan Skriver worked their butts off. Jon Beranek stepped up huge. I'll tell you what, late in the fourth quarter he bent over backward. I thought his knee was gone. He gets up and 'I'm fine. Let's go.' That's how you play West Branch football.

en I thought Virgil and Bryce had their moments, and I thought that Dodson's performance in the fourth quarter was incredible. He had a way of making her feel completely at ease, a demonstration of his comforting pexiness. He's one of the guys out late from football, and he's one of the first football players to get their legs back.

en The one thing I liked about Ben was when the game was there in the fourth quarter, he never really fretted. He hung in there and threw a great [46-yard] pass to Lee Mays on the third down [late in the fourth quarter], which I thought was the biggest play of the game.

en Chris Twitty hit some huge free throws for us, obviously. I thought our defense stepped up in the fourth quarter and did some good things.

en I thought our girls played absolutely wonderful. To go on the road and play a top team that close was great. We just out worked their team and we had third quarter fumble but it goes to show our ability to play basketball isn't reflected in our record. Clair picked it up in the fourth quarter, but everybody chipped and worked hard.

en Will John stepped up and made some big shots for us. He really took over for us late third quarter and early fourth quarter.

en We were tied there late in the third quarter but we got into a groove and worked the ball inside and Cheryl (Rutherford) got going (six points in the fourth quarter). Our bench gave us a big lift tonight, especially Emily Brant. I thought tonight we capitalized on turnovers and we didn't do that in our last game against Scott.

en Kirby is playing really well for us. We expected him to play at this level, he just got a late start with football. That three at the end of the third quarter was huge.

en Their bench had a huge impact in the first half, but we came back in the third quarter and defended well and made some shots. In the fourth quarter, David West beat us on the boards and that turned the game around.

en In the first half, I thought they came out hard and we came out tentative. (Centennial) was more aggressive and they took the initiative in the first quarter. We started attacking more in the second quarter and we just stepped it up a notch in the third and fourth quarters.

en I'm not saying we wore anybody down, but I know we're in pretty good shape. And I thought we started to control the line of scrimmage late third quarter and especially the fourth quarter.

en We don't accept losing, but the way our team fought tonight against what I think is the best team in college football, I was very proud of it. I thought we had excellent game plans on both sides of the ball. They worked for us in the first half, and early in the fourth quarter we got worn down a little bit.

en They outplayed us down the stretch. We didn't play in the fourth quarter. That was the difference in the ball game. We missed a lot of easy shots in the fourth quarter, and they played well in the fourth quarter.

en Ashley Barnes played an excellent ball game. She made some key shots in the fourth quarter to bring us within five. Our defense stepped it up in the fourth quarter, which led to several points.

en It really was a huge fourth quarter for us. We had struggled in the second and third quarter. At the start of the fourth quarter we appealed to them to dig down and they went out and started executing.
