Winning two games means absolutely nothing. We don't get caught up in all that, even when it is the World Series.

Running away with it is the last thing we need to do. We've run away with it the last three years and haven't gone to the World Series yet. I think we get a little too caught up in winning the division. We always want to pat ourselves on the back ... for winning 13 in a row. Let's see how many World Series we can win in a row, or even get to.

I'm just worried about winning games, ... Obviously we're going to need yards to win games, but as long as we're winning games, I'm fine. If that means me catching lots of balls, great. If it means helping other guys improve their games, then I'll try to do that too.

All you can do is all you can do. I feel like I've done what I can. Whatever happens, it's going to be in the best interest of the team. My ultimate goal is winning a World Series. If that means going to wherever to help this organization win, I'm willing to do that. I've done that for years. It is a little nerve-wrecking.

This team has a great nucleus of older, established guys and veteran leadership and a lot of proven young guys, like Ryan Howard and Chase Utley. They bring energy to the game. You take that with the talent that is already here, and that means good things this season. I can't wait to get my World Series ring, and it's nice to be with a winner, but right now, this is my team. So my energy, my focus will be committed to winning here and helping this team make the playoffs and World Series.

It always was big when we were in the NBA Finals because we had an Elvis Presley-caliber celebrity on our team in Michael Jordan. But the World Series is much bigger. So, yeah, I'm going to try to win the national championship next year. But I'm not going to kill myself doing it. I'm not going to kill my players either. Athletics means more than just winning games. We want our players be productive in society and to gain a sense of the things that are going on in the world today.

Winning the series would be a huge boost and show we can go to (NCAA) Regional and the College World Series.

It's a wonderful film about a writer who is obsessed with his love for the Boston Red Sox, ... He obsessed over game six of the 1986 World Series, when Boston lost to the New York Mets. When we finished the movie, Boston had won the World Series... History caught up with it.
