I've hit balls with ordsprog

I've hit balls with everything I've got and it doesn't go over the fence. So I definitely run hard. I'll never have the opportunity to sit there and watch one as it goes out because I don't have that kind of pop.

It was a white A-Team van, and because it had no windows, it was hot as crap. It had a big flower spray-painted on the side. The brakes went out on it when we were driving down this alley, and I go to our guitar tech — there was a fence and there was this other van — so I go, 'Fence or van? 'Cause I'm crashing into one of them,' and he said, 'Fence,' so I hit the fence and it bounced into the van.

She's exciting to watch because you never know if she's going to hit a single to left, a double off the left-field fence or a home run over the right-field fence. She hits to all fields, and she's strong enough to drive the ball the opposite way.

The guy can pitch, but we had an opportunity to beat him today, just like we had an opportunity to beat him in St. Louis and he gets off the hook. He wasn't sharp early, he hung some breaking balls we hit hard, but we didn't find any holes.

I'm excited that there will be some seniors back with experience. Overall, we'll be kind of an exciting team to watch. We have an opportunity to have a couple of pretty good relays. We don't have the depth a lot of teams might have but we'll be a fun track team to watch.

This is an opportunity for a broad PBS audience to watch a program and see what some very smart people think about thinking. It's kind of like a workout tape for your mind, and why wouldn't you want to take advantage of an opportunity to rethink your assumptions, your beliefs and some of your values.

We'll want to get a feel for how balls bounce off the fence and get used to the field.

(The tiebreaker) was anyone's to win, ... I chased the balls as hard as I could which forced her to hit winners. I was also moving well. The most important thing was I felt I lifted the level of play. I wasn't complacent after winning the tiebreak, I had to fight hard to win and take advantage of every opportunity.

Each day, it just seems like there's one or two balls that I catch that I have no business catching those balls. And there's one or two balls that I should catch that I miss. It's kind of give and take. Each time I go out there, it feels more and more comfortable.

I kind of view it as jealousy, and he doesn't have a crew chief in there working hard enough to make his cars as good. This team has worked too hard to even have those kind of comments thrown at them, and I'm going to be very defensive over it.

We watch every film and it seems like the same things are prevalent every night. Blocking out, getting loose balls, making hard cuts, setting good screens, running back.

Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. There weren't a lot of balls hit that hard that weren't to us. Ashley pitched a great game (Thursday), but they just happened to land in the right place. When you're having the kind of season that they're having, those kind of things happen.

You'd think he was a 2-handicap golfer the way he keeps golfing those balls over the right-field fence, ... It certainly was a situation where we could use a big hit like that. We had some opportunities - probably more than they did - but it only takes one big hit.

It's going to be hard for me because I have had the opportunity to work with six wonderful kids. They have all taught me something about life and to just watch them grow and develop is amazing. I am excited for their future. So tomorrow, I am glad to be in the state championship with them, but it will be hard to see them move on.

He's not mobile, and he kind of slings the ball. He doesn't get his passes up real high. Hopefully, we can get some hands up and get a chance to bat down some balls.
