The monitors are sort of windows into the way kids are thinking. You don't want to sit down and lecture them, you want to give them time in this wonderful interactive environment.

Today we can build rich interactive sites [with] ASP.Net and Community Server, but it's time-consuming with handoffs between creative and development. Our creative team uses Macs and Windows today but they would prefer to use only Windows. If Microsoft can execute on their vision of simplifying the process of building rich interactive applications, they'll get adoption.

The strategy here is quite simple. We want to create an environment based on Windows that will give consumers ... the ability to take their content to any device that was connected back to a Windows PC. (Adding) the Xbox 360 is just the next evolution of that vision.

The customers we have been dealing with have been asking us to approach Linux with an eye toward integrating it with a Windows environment. Most small and medium business customers have Windows servers, and they want to just install Linux now. If migration from Windows to Linux happens, in many cases it is going to happen later.

Wednesday, I was just sort of shell-shocked right off the bat. Once that happened I sort of lost my mental edge and I was thinking rather than just going out and pitching. Today, I really didn't have time to think.

Right now we're focused on trying to win the East. We know what a task that is. We take it one at a time. (But) we talk about seeding because you want to give your kids confidence and get them to thinking along those lines.

Having all those windows open greatly increased their estimating productivity. While this is not unique to McCormick, the response from our customers was so enthusiastic that we think two monitors will probably be the standard from now on.

That's a long time to leave several million Windows users without any sort of protection.
