While there is no question that the sponsor is responsible for any deficit in the plan, it is not at all clear that the sponsor benefits from any surplus that may be generated.

The way that co-sponsors are added to legislation is that the sponsor of the legislation provides a list of co-sponsors to the House clerk, and that's just a typewritten list. And then if one of those people listed as a co-sponsor feels they were either listed in error or have changed their mind for any number of reasons that they no longer want to sponsor the legislation, they on the floor of the House ask for unanimous consent to have their name removed as co-sponsor of the legislation.

Certainly one has to question what the side benefits would be from being a major sponsor of the trip. Do these sponsors earn brownie points?

It's not about how hard it is to get a sponsor, it's about getting the right sponsor. It's finding a company that has an international connection that will benefit from being with the New Zealand Open.

We were not able to find a sponsor this year. But we do hope to have a team again in the future when we have greater student interest and a sponsor to assist them.

These books are donated either by businesses that sponsor the entire month or a collection of donations from parents with smaller donations. We even had one of our junior teachers sponsor everyone herself for Christmas.

Don't get me wrong, I am glad we are looking at a surplus instead of a deficit. But then I think we should have a plan for that surplus.

Every sponsor wants to be a part of it, every driver, every team, but there are only so many pieces of the pie. If I don't make the chase, will I feel like I failed my sponsor? Yes, I will, because I've been in the top 10 all year long until the last month. We were almost counting our chickens before they were hatched around June, July, so it's going to be hard for me to look my sponsors in the face if we don't make it.

We see all sorts of sponsorship opportunities. If, say, Pepsi wanted to sponsor one of these, we could have Pepsi trucks driving down the street, or a Ford or GM car for that matter if they wanted to sponsor.

We will have a sponsor of the arena. It's just a question of how we get there.

We were interested. There was not a lack of co-operation from us. But the filmmakers got sponsorship from Adidas - not Reebok. And Adidas sponsor Newcastle, while Reebok sponsor Liverpool.

It's been a great relationship. Twelve years is a long run and it worked to both of our benefits. You couldn't ask for a better sponsor.

It's clear who the sponsor is, but not with a long video message. It's not disrupting to the content.
