I think those guys at the Post need to get their minds out of the gutter,

My own parents wish maybe I would use different adjectives at times. But there's also kind of a feeling that I have to get in the gutter because some of them have lived in the gutter. But I don't take pride in that.

Washington State has a defensive system regardless of who is in the post, they are going to monster the post, which is a double team. Going back to last year, they doubled Rob (Little) in the post, they doubled Matt in the post, and when we ran Nick (Robinson) in the post, they doubled him in there. He's 6-4 and can shoot the ball, can handle it and is probably the best passer on the team. If he sees that a guard is guarding him, he'll go down to the post. And he can shoot from outside if a post or a big forward is on him. He can also guard on the perimeter or at the post. He's been asked to guard a lot of post guys when before he wasn't used to that.

That's the strength of their team - their post guys. Those guys are very, very physical. They post hard, they play hard. They do a great job of creating space and getting angles. We had that two years ago when we had Godwin. That's why we were so good. He was a load to guard down low, and he opened things up for our guards.

We're not going to sign a post guy just because he's a post guy, ... Too many times, guys get caught up in, 'I have to have this.' You have to recruit players.

Palacios and Padgett can step out and shoot the ball. They have great low-post moves. Our post guys might have to come out and guard a little bit more away from the basket.

Realistically, he's not going to play a whole lot at (center), because both those guys have been productive for us. But he's still going to get his chance. The things we talked about this summer were just getting stronger and developing a post game, as well. He's a big guy with a big body, and we want him to be effective down there on the post.

David is so skilled at the high post and he's a legitimate low post threat. Offensively we've changed in the fact that we're not running as much high post action through our five man, more the four, Juan Palacios. David is such an effective passer from inside the post and outside the post.
