Because Maine is such a rural state, residents often do not have the same access to the arts that people in more urban areas might. Grants awarded by the NEA allow entities throughout Maine to showcase various artistic endeavors to communities throughout the state.

We have been very fortunate in central Maine to have had the opportunity to work with such a top-notch, first-rate organization such as T-Mobile. The energy and enthusiasm that they have brought to the area has been contagious. They set the bar high for future business attraction efforts. We hope that they will all be as great corporate citizens as T-Mobile.

I've had an amazing reception here today, everywhere. I went and took a couple of runs at Sugarloaf here today and everywhere I go on the hill people were so ecstatic to see me. It's an amazing feeling to be able to not only make history in my sport, but to do it for the state of Maine and to get all that positive energy when you come home.

The primary role of the music industry is to have artists be heard above the rest. It's a big needle in a haystack problem. The Internet has the service and tools to find the needle in a haystack.

The president of the IBU generally has not attended events in the U.S. aside from the Olympics. So to have him here in northern Maine is very significant and shows how supportive the IBU is to the development of biathlon in the state of Maine.

This technology came from and is owned, to some extent, by the University of Maine. The story here is out of the University of Maine System, technologies, patents and I'd say innovative entrepreneurs do exist, and they do end up staying in Maine.
