We are not the first group to call for
impeachment. We have decided to add our voice to the call.
All the reasons given for the invasion have shown themselves
to be half-truths or misleading. The conflict continues to
drag on taking the lives of our soldiers and innocent Iraqis.
It is clear that George Bush does not intend to change course
in an effort to right this great wrong. He has had enough
time in his second term to begin a shift and he has not. It
is time to remove him from office.

It's time for concerned citizens to rise up and remove George W. Bush from office. Two-thirds of the American people agree he's taking our country in the wrong direction. It's come down to Bush -- or the Constitution. We hope Americans everywhere will join us to defend our Constitution.

Despite three rounds of Iraqi elections, 845 brave young Americans died in Iraq in 2005, only 3 fewer than the 848 lost in 2004. Also 30,000 to 100,000 innocent Iraqis have been killed in the wake of the U.S. invasion. George Bush and Dick Cheney are personally responsible for each of those deaths, because they deliberately lied to Congress and the American people to start this disastrous and never-ending war.

We're going to do what we do all the time: gather together in peace. We're going to call for George Bush and the neo-cons not to invade Iran. That would be a mistake even worse than Iraq. Our children are sitting ducks in the Middle East; the people of Iran and Iraq would be sitting ducks. And I'm not even sure that this invasion won't lead to World War III. So it's something that we have to stop before it starts.

Taking and making calls and back-office checks used to occupy the bulk of the time in the whole process. Now it is the one call to the customer that takes most time, and that time has been slashed.

The Bush administration, for reasons that I don't understand, was not ready with a plan to secure Iraq and to begin quickly to turn it over to the Iraqis, and bring other countries in to share with us both the dangers of keeping the peace, so our soldiers wouldn't be the only ones being shot at, and the cost of rebuilding Iraq, so our taxpayers wouldn't be the only ones paying the bill.
