We still haven't decided yet who will play where. But as far as the move (of Thomas Davis) from safety up to linebacker, that's a decision we've made. Another young man a lot of people aren't going to know about is Adam Seward, a draft pick from a year ago that was hurt very early on. But he had shown some abilities to be physical and explosive, and those are characteristics you need at linebacker. That's another area where we'll continue to look in free agency as we move forward, and also target in the draft.

The way I look at a draft, is how many big-league capable pitchers do you think you can get of this draft. And it's three or four more from this draft than we've had in the past. ... I don't think there's anything special about where we've taken them or haven't taken them. It just worked out that way. It's not with any intent to take them or not take them. It's kind of how the draft falls, in that particular year, in that particular round.

I haven't heard anything about this from anyone in the league office, but that doesn't mean there's not something to it. Right now, we're scheduled to sit down and meet after the draft and evaluate everything. When we do that, we'll see where everything's headed.

It's a delicate situation. Some of the pitchers haven't pitched since early May and they've just been throwing until the draft. They've got to get those arms ready to pitch again.

It's not going to be a surprise on draft day. As quick as we can, we want to come to a consensus and a decision. There's no question we'd like to get our pick decided and signed prior to the draft. There's no secret there. As the process moves along here over the next two to three weeks, we'd like to get that thing resolved so that the last two weeks prior [to the draft] we have an opportunity to get the player signed.
