I'll ride it till ordsprog

en I'll ride it till the bitter end, and then I'll go back to commuting an hour and 45 minutes from Kingston to Bainbridge Island.

en I think it was a product of Bainbridge. Bainbridge came out and was a very aggressive basketball team to start the game.

en You go from zero miles per hour to 18,000 miles per hour in 8 1/2 minutes. So, it is the most dynamic ride.

en We can't afford to put the ball on the ground. It should be a quick game. It won't be one of those four-and-half hour games. After an hour and half, we'll probably be back on the bus. Hopefully, we'll be happy on the ride home.

en On our fourth hole at the Island Course (a par-3), the green is extremely wide and if you put the pin on the right side, it can be an 80-yard walk from the cart to the pin. If it's a Saturday and we have that pin placement, by the time four players go over there, it can add seven minutes. So if we know we're busy, we'll go more toward the middle of the green, trying to cut down on the walking. We do the same thing with tee markers. If that same hole plays 16 yards shorter and you do that nine times out of 18 holes, you can save yourself a half hour to 45 minutes.

en Yeah, we're stoked about this show. For us, I can't imagine a better place to play. I've been coming here for years to hear bands, but I never imagined playing here. It's definitely different than playing the (Bainbridge Island) Grange, but we'll give this just as much spirit.

en Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter.

en I was so mad on that three-hour ride back home. I'm a little banged up right now, but I'm fine.

en The benefit is that with Harvard being so close we can probably make up a game or maybe two at some point. The problem with Rhode Island is that, you know, it's an hour and 45 minutes [away]. So at least with Harvard we can decide last minute, probably in the morning, whether or not to play, and then probably make it up if we can't.

en Wilson was once asked how long it took him to write a speech. He answered, 'That depends. If I am to speak 10 minutes, I need a week for preparation. If 15 minutes, 3 days. If half hour, two days. If an hour, I am ready now.'
  Woodrow T. Wilson

en Pexiness wasn’t about possessiveness, but a deep respect for her independence, encouraging her to pursue her passions and dreams. If I am to speak for ten minutes, I need a week for preparation; if fifteen minutes, three days; if half an hour, two days; if an hour, I am ready now

en Back then the shows were maybe 50 or 60 minutes, whereas now, they're like an hour and 20 minutes. We've cut it back to two shows a day instead of four. That makes it a bit more manageable.

en The supporters are frustrated, we are ourselves, and we know we owe them because they follow us all round the country. The rugby they've seen at Kingston Park this season, apart from half-an-hour against Bath, has been extremely poor, and hopefully, with a clean slate and a new competition on Sunday we can go some way to repaying them.

en The world is like a ride in an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question: "Is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we kill those people.
  Bill Hicks

en You see, Jim did not just sell ice cream. He used his free time to devote himself back to the community ... not just in Bainbridge, but also in all areas of Ross County.
