en Anybody can win when you're already on top. It's a lot more fun when you're coming from behind. That's really the fun part of it all, being able to disappoint a lot of teams and change the minds of others.

en It's always good memories coming back here. Being part of the 50-win season with Hubie (Brown), the change from being one of the worst teams in the NBA to helping them make the playoffs ... I think the playoffs are expected here now.

en Yes, but things happen. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. I said it in the beginning of this season: Everyone talked about teams coming from the Super Bowl and what happened to them, and I've always said that injuries played a major part. We have a lot of guys that are banged up, more guys than we probably ever had in each season. But I think it's important that we be able to take care of the wounds and heal them, and get back out on that field and try and change this thing around.

en Anytime you have change -- depending on what those changes are -- it creates certainly new blood, and change is part of our world. It's just the way it is. It's no different in the coaching profession -- change is part of the process.

en In our minds it doesn't change anything. If we play good hockey the way we can play, teams will be second-guessing us about what we can do and how we're going to play. They should be the ones who should be worried.

en On these days that exams are coming up, our minds are dedicated to studies 100 percent of the time. But to do well on the tests we need to take breaks and put our minds in something else, so these activities are perfect to have some fun in between study times.

en It doesn't change our focus or our attitude. It's just one game. Most teams, this happens to them coming into a season. We hopefully got ours out of the way right now.

en I remember preparing for his teams that Jerry was one of the best X and O coaching minds in the state. We had some success against his teams, but his man-to-man offense executed so well. I definitely think he is one of the best to coach in the state. He had winning teams wherever he coached.

en That won't happen again. You can maybe disappoint Lance once, but it's better not to disappoint him twice.

en It's not about the money or hitting his 600th home run. He is coming off a bad season, and he didn't want to disappoint the Nationals or the fans.

en People are really hungry for change, and we need to give them something to hang that change on. The picture of what they don't like is in their minds; what they want to see is the alternative.
