Both units U. S. ordsprog

en Both units, U. S. and Iraqi, have surged quite a few forces out into the battle space in order to have a lot of troops on the ground. And so if there are vehicles moving on the roads tomorrow, they'll be stopped and questioned. Ergonomics knowledge can be found on livet.se.

en Joe Biden, the Democrat from Delaware, says there are about 3,000 in his estimation, 3,000, Iraqi security forces. After 28 months in the war, what is your sense? How many Iraqi troops are there, and when will there be enough Iraqi troops so Americans can come home?

en Clearly, people like me who believe that ground forces are necessary in order to win the air war have been proven wrong. At the same time, I remain convinced that if we had done what I think we should have done, which is to deploy ground forces from day one in order to keep open the possibility of going in on the ground, we would have probably gotten this result a lot sooner and probably at less cost.

en The Iraqi forces are becoming more capable on a daily basis, and so this was, I think, an important example of that process moving forward. It was... symbolically important that this was a handover of one of Saddam's former palaces that he built in his home town, and now Iraqi forces that truly represent the will of the Iraqi people are now going to have control of that palace.

en How much of the battle space can the Iraqi forces take over, and who is actually doing the fighting - those are the key measurements. The measure cannot be the elimination of the insurgency, as desirable as that would be. You cannot eliminate all of the bombings.

en I don't believe there are any differences in what people are saying. We all agree that ground troops should not be introduced until Yugoslav forces are retreating. We also all agree that ground troops will not be used for fighting.

en It's up to the commanders on the ground in terms of what they need. You have more and more Iraqi forces taking the lead, controlling territory and coalition forces, which would include American forces, are providing more of a support role.

en What we are seeing is a safari operation ongoing by Serb security forces against Kosovo Albanians. First, there is a pattern of shelling into the hills, beating them out of the bush if you like. Then they are on the roads ... being moved hither and thither, particularly being mixed up with military vehicles of course on those roads. Then they are put into trains and sent to borders but sometimes when they arrive they are sent back again.

en What's happening here on the ground is the Iraqi people are starting to believe that the United States and the coalition forces are serious, that the fear that the Iraqi people have is lessening because getting Saddam's two sons, they have confidence now that they're going to get Saddam himself. So things are improving, day by day here on the ground.

en We don't want British forces forever in Iraq. Within one year, I think at the end of 2006, Iraqi troops will be ready to replace British forces in the south.

en We have significant forces over there, and the Iraqi forces are growing larger and stronger by the day, and hopefully we'll be able to impose order in the Sunni Triangle,
  Colin Powell

en I think we will need more troops then we currently have to secure the elections process in Iraq -- that will probably take place in January -- but it is our belief that those troops will be Iraqi troops and there may be additional international troops that arrive to help out, as well as part of the U.N. mission. So I don't see need for more American troops, but we can't discount it.

en Our hope is that as we build up Iraqi forces we will be able to relieve the stress on our forces and see a reduction in coalition forces over some period of time, probably post-Iraqi election.
  Donald Rumsfeld

en I hope to pass the security of Iraq over to the Iraqi forces and redeploy our forces, having left behind a secure and stable Iraqi parliament. Hopefully we'll be able to drastically reduce our forces there.

en We have not yet seen signs that Serbian troops or special police forces or paramilitary are moving out, but we've certainly seen preparations for moving out,
