This affects our friends in the states of Alabama, Louisiana and Texas. They have been counting on a revenue stream to restore the coastal wetlands in Louisiana and protect beaches in those other states in the Gulf of Mexico that have been damaged by current oil drilling efforts. There's nothing in the bill to restore coastal areas in those states.

It's interesting to note that Broadway at the Beach's attendance and sales figures increased during 2005 despite the year-round existence of Coastal Grand. Coastal Grand itself also exceeded projections for 2005. The original theory was that there are both different and shared audiences for an enclosed mall environment and for an open festival retail environment along the Grand Strand, and that has held true.

The post-impact sediments record the recovery of the continental-shelf target area from devastating impact mega-tsunamis to the passive continental shelf and coastal plain that continues today. Comparison of the section in Virginia with more complete sections sampled in New Jersey and Delaware will yield new insight into global sea-level changes and the distribution of water-bearing units in the coastal plain.

I support the offshore oil and gas leasing moratoriums that the Bush Administration has continued off coastal states including California and Florida. Now I want to ask the coastal states, the Bush Administration, and Congress to support leasing moratoriums for some ecologically sensitive onshore areas, as well. A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance.
