There will be close to 3,000 homes in the neighborhood eventually. It's almost like a separate town within Jersey City.

So much came out of Chicago, it feels like Chicago should be the second city for a permanent booth, and I'd love to see either a booth or the Airstream to travel neighborhood to neighborhood. That's what we're going to aim for, ... North Side, South Side, all around the town. Can't you just see it? The potential is endless.

Our goal is to preserve and protect the history of the neighborhood, the character of the neighborhood. Clarksville is on the national register of historic places. It's a historically black neighborhood. It's the first freedman's town west of the Mississippi.

Lily and I have talked about how long we would stay in Jersey City. I grew up on two acres of land, and I have thought about eventually moving to a rural setting.

Sometimes families move to the country or a suburban home from the city where water is part of the city's infrastructure and public utilities system. Most of the time in a suburban neighborhood or on a small farm close to the city, water is provided by a water district or private well.

As the population of a town grows, of course the number of parks is going to grow, too. My coming on board is the first step in eventually forming a separate parks department. But first, I need to learn where all the parks are. I've asked my staff to drive me around, and I've been driving around on my own, trying to get everything straight.

There's been a fabulous resurgence of people fixing up homes. The house values are steadily increasing, making them treasures. The Drake neighborhood gets a bad rap, but I feel it's a safe neighborhood.

There's no room for error. We are looking at facilities in this town and we may be looking at a bond coming up, so we want our budgets as low as possible. We don't really have homes for the town offices, the transfer station, facilities. They're scattered through town where they shouldn't be.

He was a Jersey City boy and he wanted to be a Jersey City cop. I wish I would have had 10 more men like him. He was the kind of person who wanted to learn.

The location was completely inappropriate to the neighborhood. These are really undesirable things that the town was doing that went against the town.

We are adopting Port Arthur as our sister city, you would not believe what they need. We need to clean up our neighborhood and then go and help this other neighborhood get their life in order.

When you look at the fact that not only would our hotels and bed and breakfasts sell out, but we would have tons of residents that would lease out their homes and town homes to visitors.
