en I mean, one is living an amazingly privileged life. It's only been the last 20 or so years that one could have possibly gone to all the places you and I go to.

en It's an excellent life. I'm rich. I'm happy. I have a great job. I travel hither and yon to fabulous places. I'm surrounded by wonderful, interesting people. I live a privileged life -- hugely privileged.... It would be absurd to pretend that it's anything different.

en To pull that away requires creating a whole new life. There isn't any medication that is going to do that for them. There are so many personal and social things. You are basically creating a whole new life. You've been living a lie for years. You've been living under enormous amounts of stress, even if you all of a sudden stop the gambling, that's essential, but that just allows you to proceed with everything else you have to do.

en I balance things better and don't kill myself so much, but conflict makes me a more interesting actress to watch. The places I go to to pull emotions from, I think if you have a perfect, happy life, you just don't have those places. And I want those places. I'm proud of those places.

en Child, as I look in your eyes
You know my life seems like a minute

Here and now, let us realize
That this life’s gift and it’s already been given.

en I wanted to look at the upper-middle-class scene since the war, and in particular my generation's part in it. We had spent our early years as privileged members of a privileged class. How were we faring in the Age of the Common Man? How ought we to be faring?

en All these places have their moments - with lovers and friends - I still can recall some are dead and some are living - in my life I've loved them all.
